The 'Lamme Goedzak'.....sails from Dampoort on the outskirts of Bruges, to Damme Bridge and back, five times a day during the from spring to early autumn.

You might be interested where the name Lamme Goedzak (Lame Goodbag/-sack = a harmless, friendly/good-natured fellow) comes from: he was the (mythical) mischievous Tuyl/Teil Uilenspiegel's sidekick. Damme claims to be Uilenspiegel's birthplace and it was in the Damme area that they both played pranks on the high and mighty. J-J PS Germany also has Uilenspiegel in its folklore.
