Regardless whether it is an influence or not by big Guru like Manny or whoever. I don't mind to be influenced by a Big Guru with a style rather than being nobody. This world we are somehow influenced by others and we will continue the ripple of influence to influenced others. If Aloha is second influenced by Manny, I don't mind to be the third.

Your newest gallery shows that you are maturing as a photographer. I know that Manny's influence is quite strong but I can see that in some shots manifest a departure from that influence. In the olden days, artists join a master's atelier or volunteer to work as an apprentice... only in close observation you'll learn the basics hence progessively achieving a higher level of technique. By paying attention to the elements and rearanging them to suit your own taste will eventually lead to discovering your individual style, even if that will result in breaking or improving on your "masters" rules or methods. Keep on, only by doing photography passionately you will reach the apex of excellence. But of course this gallery is more beautiful that last... as it should be! For that reason I vote of course!

Hi, I post this as a private message....thank you for the invite to critique your Krystal gallery..I am flattered. She is clearly a very beautiful woman. The style you are using looks like it is heavily influenced by Manny Librodo, did you do a workshop with him? Manny is a very talented artist who has done something many of us dream about ..develop a personal style. i.e. we can look at an image and say ..'oh that looks like a Manny Librodo'. How wonderful to be able to have that kind of recognition. I think in some of the first few, you have done a really good job..perhaps could be better were you closer as the background to my eye tends to be a bit fussy...which detracts from the subject. Of the first 6, I like 'Pinched' the best as it looks as though she is emerging from the wall itself. Unfortunately the highlights have blown out on 'Red Earth' which is a shame because I think the structure of the shot is strong, with good eye contact and a clean background. You have managed to capture a lovely mood with the last three. I guess the trick for all of us is to learn as much as we can then develop our own personal style and identity.
