My parents were on their way out here to Oklahoma from California to pay us a visit. Just outside of Moab Utah they got in an accident and wrecked their van. I had to rent a vehicle and go up to Moab, Utah to rescue them and bring them home until their insurance company decided what to do about their van. These are some of the pictures I took between Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and Moab, Utah, including a short side trip to Arches National Monument just north of Moab. Over the years I had forgotten just how beautiful that stark country through there could be, with its contrasts between the warm earth and stone colors and the almost blindingly bright sunlight.
