Calibrate your Monitor!

While a full-blown calibration is unneccessary, in order to view any of these images accurately, you should be able to see the difference (at least) between steps X,Y and Z and ideally A,B and C on the accompanying grayscale. You should adjust the brightness and contrast of your monitor until this is possible.
