Ali Skye Bennet got her first camera for her 5th birthday; it was pink and had one of those detachable, 12-time-use, disposable flashes that explodes into a fluffy coccoon when you press the shutter. She's come a long way since then. She has traveled to many different countries and enjoys taking pictures of people in their natural surroundings and the simple beauty of nature. In 2006, she won 8th place in the Image International Photo Contest (category: A World of People) and was published in PhotoLife Magazine for her photo, "Beautiful Ignorance." In that same year, she won 2nd place on UpperEast.com in New York City, where several of her submissions, as well as the winning photograph, are featured to this day. She also works as an actor and nanny to young children, both of which bring her much inspiration! She currently lives in Queens with her beautiful (and famous) cat, Athena.
