Of all your tern pictures, this one tells the most expressive story. At 1/500th of a second, you stop the head from moving, yet keep the wings flapping, giving the image both detailed information and expressive blur. The tiny fish dangles helplessly from the tern's sharp beak -- its eye seems to be looking into the eye of the bird, almost pleading for mercy that will never come. The image reflects the essence of the natural world -- the food chain itself. You are a one of the finest wildlife and nature photographers I know, Alina.
