I just noticed that you visited the image I have just linked you to back in May of last year. Perhaps you had an intuitive memory of it as you made this image?
It's the light reflecting off the pavement that gives this image its focal point, and its the dips in the road that provide the incongruity. The mountains in the background swallow the road, as it were being devoured by the past.
