Gravity feed water tank

King Island, Tasmania, Australia

On isolated rural properties whether on the mainland or an island, residents are self sufficient and "off grid" for water, power and sewerage.

This water tank supplies a nearby house down the hill. The gravity feed means a pump is not required each time a tap is opened. The tank is filled periodically by a pump.
