On 25 October 1973 Sydney celebrated the official opening of the Sydney Opera House. I took this and other images of the fireworks that night from the deck of an aircraft carrier.

I have not corrected any colour here - this is as the image as recorded by the film - I done some slight post-production, sharpening etc. You will all see the colour in this image slightly differently depending on your colour management calibration.

I hope soon to upload some images of the Opera House itself taken on the same night.
