Faces all around us

The passing parade of humanity fascinates me.

Photographing the faces of our world is a joy. Some are beautiful, some damaged and some just odd. All share one thing - individuality amongst our common humanity.

A face can tell a story giving the viewer an insight into a person's life even if acting as a mask shielding the outside world from inner truth.

Thank you to those who are my friends, those who posed, those who looked my way or just passed by. Some will be portraits of people in their environment. Some will be faces as imagined by artists.

Well, as the principal subject of this photograph, I shall have to reach my own conclusions as to whether or not it is "beautiful damaged or just odd." The odd defects and damage are obvious. I am however intrigued by the composition - it provokes thought. Well done.
