These images are captured by the new Olympus OM-D E-M5 using the firmware 1.0. All images are downsize to 1050 X 788 at 72dpi for space. As there are many test on the OM-D E-M5 file size quality, I am only showing here the color and exposure quality. This is not a full review but the sharing of the Olympus OM-D E-M5 captured image quality on color and exposure.
All images here are not altered neither adjusted for brightness, contrast or sharpening. All images are just out from the camera jpeg files.
My pleasent encounter with the Olympus OM-D E-M5 is the excellence out of camera jpeg images and the superfast focus on the Olympus 12-50mm kit lens, Olympus 45mm f;1.8lens and the Lumix 20mm f;1.7lens.
I have also encounter the camera hang after leaving the switch ON when not in use. Normally the camera will come ON again when you press the shutter button. The camera refused to switch ON even after I OFF the switch and ON back the camera again. I need to take off the battery to reset the camera. This happen twice in my 3 days of use.
I also find the Viewfinder to be not so responsive when I take up the camera and view into the Viewfinder, it take up to a second to Switch-On and as a photographer this is not acceptable where I missed the shot while waiting the Viewfinder to come alive.
I hope Olympus can do another firmware update to rectify the above problems.
I think you have done well with this new cam. Nice contrast, saturation and colour out from the box. It is disappointing to hear the camera "hang" after in sleep mode. Hopefully, this problem will be resolved in future firmware update. Thanks for sharing.
