Charcoal worker at Kuala Sepetang, Perak

These charcoal Kiln, situated in Kuala Sepetang (Port Weld), Perak. The Matang Mangrove forest reserve being the world best managed mangrove forest is located here supplying the bakau timber use for charcoal manufacturing.

The workers here are paid a mere US$10.00 to fill up the igloo shape kiln and considering today's standards of living, I think they are grossly underpaid for this laborious work.
