Ah, well, that area has a lot of birds moving up from the South. A number of odd birds have been seen on the trail going to the waterfall. You got very lucky and managed some good shots on top of it. I don't think it has been photographed in Thailand before. Atleast I can't find any shots.

I was very exited and surprised when I saw the male on the back and this female came closer (still quite far for my 300mm), as it is into the described range, however, I never heard of one in Kaeng Krachan before and tried already twice in the south with no success...

This guys where seen down the road (where the Pin-tailed Parrot-Finch was eating Bamboo). They weren't singing, but pretty active with other birds, eating some caterpillars. It was about noon on a sunny day and the birds just stayed for a minute or so. After they ate a few caterpillars, left for good and were not seen anymore in 3 more hours we stayed at the spot.

I think I'll let Phillip Round know of the sight... may be interesting what he says about it...

I am not sure if it is the 1st record from KK but definitely must be the 1st images of a bird I haven't even seen in Thailand yet!
