Alex,

This summer we are leaving for Katmai (2 days 1 night). You would do me a big favor if you could give same advise about what type of lenses you used at Katmai. Is there a boardwalk or somethiong like that and is it possible to used a tripod. I hope you can help me with some information about.

Tnx,

Jack Schouten the Netherlands

I had just watched a special on Africa's animals (as I usually do) and your photography came to mind as soon as it was finished. Your images stir emotion in me now as they did when I first viewed a thread of yours on DPReview (Africa Chapter 1, 2, 3). I can only hope to one day be able to photograph the world as you do, and be able to see the places that you've seen.

Thank you.

I am an amateur photographer who also loves the D-100. I basically use it as a point and click but with good lenses I have gotten some pictures I am proud of. Animals are my favorite subjects. I have been to Africa, Costa Rica, and Canada to shoot polar bears. The D-100 has been like a real work horse, through airports and bad weather and has never given me any trouble. I of course love your photos. How do you get your colors so bright?
Thanks for sharing.

Every day the I first thing I do is have a quick look at your images to inspire and learn from. If ever you produce a book featuring your work please add my name to the customer list. Just exquisite in every way.

If ever you need some guidance finding wildlife in Australia or need local information downunder just let me know.

This is the first time from when I opened this space on pbase that I post on my guestbook, I just want to thank all of you for your generous comments on this guestbook and on single images, sorry if I couldn't reply to every single one.
I'm happy to see how many nature lovers are out there and that I touched some of them with my images, this is the best gift I could have (tomorrow is my birthday...).
Best wishes to you in every place of the world you are!

Simply breathtaking....
How long were you in Africa when you took all of those photos?

Wonderful work Alex, a feast to the eye. There may be a time and a place I may reach your mastery of this art, and then it may never happen. But now that I've seen your dazzling showcase, it is what I will always aspire to.

Best wishes from Houston, Texas.

Hi ALex! Excellent album!!! One of the very, very best among all that I've ever seen. If I may ask, did you do any kind of Photoshop manipulation? Sharpening, saturation, etc? Thanks!

Grazie e ancora complimenti, ciao

Alex, once again you have proved to be a very talented and skillfull photog. Some would say it's the equipment and some it is YOU... I think that in your case YOU are the equipment! You have the eye and the will to be there on the right moment. This is NOT NGS material 'cause they're all MUCH better... Move on my friend, show us the world thru your eyes!
Thanks for sharing!

Incredibilmente belle!

Andrea

You are a Master, point.
I tend to agree with Raul (see below): if you are not yet a pro, you should seriously think of turning to photography for the lifetime!

ciao mario
