Cathedral Church of the Holy Trinity, WINCHESTER, Hampshire
The second longest church in Europe after St. Peter's, Rome, Winchester was commenced in 1073. The town had been the Capital of late Saxon England and many of the Saxon kings' remains are contained in the funerary chests in the choir and William II Rufus is also buried here. The reredos and chantries are outstanding.
