Cathédrale Notre-Dame, REIMS, Champagne

Famous as the Cathedral in which 25 French kings were crowned, Notre-Dame was started in 1211 and completed by the end of that century. It is renowned for the statuary on the West Front in particular and for its stained glass.

I just love this fabulous series of cathedrals, this one, however, is my favorite as I did not see such great depiction of Reims cathedral. The statue of Jeanne D'Arc is the best shot of her from what I've seen. Check on my Jeanne :-) when time allows at http://www.pbase.com/eldarrio/image/30550350 . Voted
