Started in the XIth century, the Abbaye is a stopping place on a route to Saint James of Compostella between Le Puy and Moissac. It houses the relics of the young girl martyred at Agen in 303 at the age of 13 and later canonised as Sainte Foy. There is an outstanding Tympanum above the West Door, a masterpiece of the XIIth century, representing the last judgement (***). The treasury (***) houses a number reliquaries dating from the XIth century and particularly the Xth century reliquary statue of Sainte Foy.
