Wild Oak Records' Chico Music Festival, May 9, 2009
Wild Oak Music Group, a California State University, Chico Music Industry program effort that includes its very own record label, hosted the Chico Music Fest 2009 on May 9, which seamlessly linked four musical genres and four clubs, kind of like a tiny version of Austin’s famed South by Southwest. The fest, featuring top local bands and a few national acts, came off without a hitch. You can view my wrap-up of the fest, along with the simultaneous Chico Live event, at www.newsreview.com/chico/content?oid=980947 --- Photos by Alan Sheckter / NorCalEdit@sbcglobal.net.
