For the eighth consecutive year on the third weekend in July, I had the pleasure of being the official staff photographer, and my wife, Donna, was again the festival Marketplace store manager, for the California WorldFest, at Nevada County Fairgrounds, Grass Valley, CA. Headliners were Los Lobos and the Indigo Girls. It was four days of fun in the sun and fun at our 13-person campsite, sharing music, laughter, and friendship. As singer-songwriter Morley said, “Sharing is what it’s all about. Between all of us, we get to do this thing at this magical location.” Thanks once again to festival directors Dan DeWayne and Christine Myers, for assembling all aspects of this annual global village, especially the main ingredient - fine, off-the-mainstream-radar musical talent from all over the world.
