Multsu mesc Alan, foarte bine, cei mai frumoasa.
Thanks Alan from another Allan but with two l's. Thank you for reminding me of Romania, i worked and stayed in Timisoara for one year, made some wonderful friends and visited many beautiful places in Romania. I agree there are many beautiful sights in Romania some remind me of my home Country Scotland. Yes there are still social and economic problems in Romania but we can admire her beauty and the people and culture are great, there have been many improvements around Romania since 2006 and im very sure Romania and her people continue to many great things and life will improve for all in the future.

Hi!I'm from Romania, used to live in Brasov, but now I'm living in Cluj-Napoca after graduating university. I was really impressed how much you have visited and travelled through this country and, I must confess, I really like your Brasov and Near Brasov photo-albums. Well...have fun in your next trips and come again to Romania, you missed visiting some spots ;)
ROMANIA ESTE CEA MAI FRUMOASA LUME DIN LUME· TRAIESC IN SPANIA
A wonderful collection. Every shot was well composed and expertly executed and I enjoy everyone of them. I like especially those wide-angle indoor shots. Well done, Alan. Make me wwant to jump on the next plane to Romania.
visit the vest! Oradea
Beautiful photos...the catch also the atmosphere, not only the images.
Silviu, I passed through Fagaras on the train but didn't get off there. I appreciate your comments but realistically I can't visit every town I pass through when I am on holidays. And yes, I have spoken to Romanians and heard some of their mixed feelings about their country.
Great pictures Mr Alan but have you ever wondered how it is to live there ?
Without a doubt Romania is a very beautiful country that has a litle bit of everything that other countries would "die" for ( mountains, hills, plains,a piece of sea, oil, salt, mineral waters, lots of rivers etc.) but still did u try stopping a simple man that walks slowly on a street of a village or in a city and ask him what`s he thinking of ? Or did you know that in Romania there`s only two social classes: rich and poor.
Well anyway i just got this link in email from a friend and the reason i`m writing this is because you went and visited Romania and you visited Tara Bârsei ( Brasov and surroundings ) and you haven`t visited Þara Fãgãraºului and the city of Fagaras which was founded even before Brasov and Sibiu . I love your pictures , they`re great but I would love to see pictures from my native city :) Thanks!
PS: didn`t you pass trough Fagaras when you went from Brasov to Sibiu ?
Beautiful photo, thank you for sharing them. Thanks for giving the photo species too.
I enjoyed them. Visit again!
Oare isi merita romanii tara asta unica in lume?
Romania has much more beautiful places......it's a place that deserves to be discovered. I know that there are so many people that have a bad feeling about this country, so I thank you Alan for showing them things they never thought they could find in Romania.
If the camera captured those nice and wonderful images wait until you get there and see it with your eyes and your heart! I'm from Curtea de Arges a place of history and light! Visit us...give your heart a chance to watch beauty!
Very nice pictures my man, come back and discover more! :)
Thanks so much. This is beautiful.
I was born in this country and thanks for sharing this fhotos with other people.
Gregg - thanks for the comments, and I have no idea why you can't see my photos at work - unless it's something that applies to the whole PBase site.
As usual, the best pictures out there. I must ask you a Question though, what did you ever do to upset the U.S. Govt? Evertime I try to view your work while at work, the firewall stops me, so I'm restricted to enjoying your beautiful work only while at home. Please keep up the good work so I can travel to the places I'll never get to through your trusting viewfinder. I especially enjoy your work in the Balkans and Romania.
Alan,i saw all the photos.they are so beautiful.i hope, you can visit Brasov again.
Alan, I just moved from the US to Brasov (in time for the snow, of course). I've been here before as a tourist and found most of your photos to be quite thoughtful, not to mention well executed. Prospective visitors to Romania should definitely visit the 'key cities' and not focus much time on Bucharest. Thanks for sharing your photos.
go to maramures is very nice
