Work in Progress. These images were taken with a zone plate pinhole(see "Pinhole Photography" by Eric Renner, Third Edition), a body cap mounted on a Canon EOS 5D digital camera. The effect of a zone plate is like a crude diffraction grating that spreads out the image in a ghostlike fashion. It seems to affect the highlights the most, but that is because the shadow ghosts are blown out by the highlight ghosts. If that sounds confusing, either become a physicist concentating on optics or enjoy the image produced. (I admit to using a little Photoshop to darken the halos around the highlights when they bothered me.)
