Every hour after dark (until midnight, I think) the Eiffel Tower is enhanced for about 10 minutes by thousands of tiny flashing lights. This was originally done as a millennium celebration during the year 2000, but was brought back later by popular demand. New, brighter bulbs were installed recently.
