So I had this artistic vision of capturing the sunrise at Austinmer, so I got up at 5am and...
Ah sod it, regular viewers who know my annual routine know that's not what happened. Well, it sort of did. I meant to get up for sunrise today, that part is accurate. But in reality I'm working all hours and all weekend so if I was going to keep to a bare minimum of at least a photo a week I had to take one today, and it had to be early on Saturday morning before I started yet another full weekend day of work.
So before dawn it was. And why am I posting this now? It is 16:40 as I type this, and summer will not sodding go away. 27, 28, 30 degrees with humidity that you could run a sauna with every damn day for weeks now. (Indeed, that would be the reason for the mist that was hanging over Austinmer at dawn today.) The work study faces the afternoon sun. The ceiling fan is trying valiantly but is no match for the heat. I have already taken one cold shower and changed into sports top and shorts and still, STILL it is too hot to do any further work. So I am going to post my PAD for the day and retreat to the south facing lounge room.
I shall of course catch up with everyone in due course, when I can sit in front of a computer without needing to do work and without needing a firehose running from a pool of iced water aimed at my head.
