Unfortunately the Olympus EP-1's standard lens hardly qualifies as a zoom model and this was as close as I could get to the subjects before I scared them of.

The bird on the left is a crow, believe it or not. Jet black, evil eyed and with a beak ready to peck at anything that moves.

The bird on the right is a Willie Wagtail. It's the bird species' answer to Taylor Swift. Nonetheless on this particular day Willie was quite offended by Mr Crow's presence and had been harassing him up and down the park incessantly, making sure that he kept just far enough out of pecking range. Whatever the cause of the disagreement my approach to attempt to get a closer photograph negated the whole thing.

The result is that the PAD is hardly going to win any World Wildlife Photography competitions, but you PAD with the gear that you have, not the gear that you wish you had.
