For a horrible moment there I thought I had screwed up my dates because I could not imagine (from the perspective of the end of October when I'm posting this) why I would be taking a photograph in North Wollongong on a Friday morning. The reason, of course, is that this was Good Friday and therefore I wasn't at work.
Over the ocean sunrise shots are of course becoming something of a trademark of mine (it goes with the territory when you live in a place like the Illawarra) however I do occasionally try to do a slightly different spin on it. In this case, I noticed the slightly curved appearance of the cloud bank in front of the Sun being somewhat echoed in shape by the curve of the new branch that is sprouting from this tree. Of course, one is light, one is shadow.
