The fact that this image dates from 2005, and that it's number 0487 from not the 40D, but the 300D, should tell you all that you need to know. Specifically, that it was from my very first trip to Melbourne, and that at that time I had pretty much no idea what I was doing photographically speaking. (As per the fact that I was still shooting .jpg rather than raw, and had the camera set to the sRGB colour space.)
Outside the Crown Casino on the southern bank of the Yarra River is a walkway. Along this walkway is a series of towers which periodically jet flames into the air. Perhaps these flames represent your fate should you elect to spend too long at the blackjack table?
Jets of water also shoot up along this walkway, as you can see on the left which I think I was using to counterbalance the crane on the right, compositionally speaking.
