View shows construction at the approach end of new runway 8 which is located to the north of existing runway 9-left/27right at Miami Int'l Airport.

Update: runway 8/26 was dedicated on 8/26/03. However due to pilot confusion issues (having 8 to the left of 9-left and 26 to the right of 27-right) the runways were renumbered in March 2004. 8/26 is now 8L/26R, 9L/27R is now 8R/26L, runway 9R/27L is now 9/27 and 12/30 was unchanged. Cost of re-signing the runways: $2 million plus.
