Maybe only the third highland record in Ecuador following one at Lago San Pablo and one in Parque Metropolitano, Quito. Since it has been found to winter in small numbers at Wildsumaco lodge, it is not too surprising to find it in the interandean valley. I found it a few days ago and it was still around today and allowed some pictures.
