Nikon F2

Produced 1971-1980. This camera ~ July 1976.

Nikon F2, DP-1 Photomic Finder, f1.4/50mm Nikkor S-C

One of my 'faves'. Like my Nikon F before it, and the Nikkormat FTn which
has been my 'back-up' SLR, this F2 machine is rugged and dependable. I think
I do not need to elaborate on the camera. It must be one of the top ten of all time.

I understand why this camera is your favorite, it is built like a mechanical Swiss watch, reliable and so ergonomic. Nevertheless I also prefer the F3 HP... Have a nice week and with my best regards. André

Cool old camera...I have the F2AS version, is really a sweet camera. Those old Nikon Film cameras were great. I also liked the F3hp. With an MD4 motor it was on of the best "fitting" cameras in the hand to me.

Would you believe this setup (with the Nikkor 55 f/3.5) was part of my film camera purge in 2005? What a dope I was!
