First Image - Ilford PX 100

My first image from the all-new Ilford branded PX-100 Silver Shade
"First Flush"
SX-70 instant film from "The Impossible Project" factory.
It is a monochrome iso100 instant film ('polaroid'), from the first
commercial batch. Somewhat tricky !!! to handle, and subject to narrow
light and temperature parameters. But it's a start ! And hopefully,
I'll learn how to use this sensitive film ... :-) The 'darkslide' which is
ejected as soon as you load the pack is shown here, for the record.

Second Attempt at this scene here

Such an unusual and magnetic image. Wonderful process Colin. BV

Hi Bonnie: Yes, it's not exactly point-and-shoot ... LOL
I made this first image in low-ish light. At iso100, the auto-shutter speed was probably only around 1/30 or so, hence the fuzzy result. I also see some red color cast which (if I am reading the FAQs correctly at the website) suggests either the room temp was too cold (it was about 68F), or I didn't get the vivid blue !! image which popped out, into a dark place quickly enough for it to develop correctly. I think the end result is supposed to be slightly sepia toned only. Anyway, in the spirit of this great achievement by the Impossible Project team, I will continue on, and see what ""artistic"" (read holga-esque) results I can get. I look forward to your images (which are bound to be sensational).

I have my pack of film but I am a
bit intimidated by it.
