Kodak Six-20 Junior

Here is another recent gift - this camera from English friends, Pamela and Ian, which
is quite special in-so-much as the camera was owned by a relative of Ian's, and it
was used as a family camera in the 1930s and through the war years into the '50s.
Obviously loved and cared for, it is in tip-top condition, complete with lovely leather
case. Although not of any real monetary value, it has great value to Pamela and Ian
and now to me, for apart from its condition, it is another camera here with 'provenance'.

It is difficult to date this camera, for now, other than as a Six-20 Junior
with this lens and this fold-close arrangement (push button), I imagine it
was from about ~1935. And perhaps a Series II. I'd be grateful to know
more, please, if you can date it by the serial number or 'bed' release design.

As far as I know, the Kodak Logo shown here (© Kodak) is
correct for c.1935. There have been many variations through the years. full exif

I have about 45 of the folding Kodak models in my collection. Few are in as nice a shape as this one looks.

Cynthia: Thanks for your visit. The camera is worth what the market will bear at auction ... and my guess is that IF the cameras are in excellent working condition, you may get about $30-$50. If you were selling privately, I think you could ask for about $35-$45 each. There are plenty for sale, and condition is the key. Keep them and use them as ornaments on your bookshelves ... if you are not a film user.

Lovely capture of this beautiful camera. The bellows still look good despite the age. Vote.
