(With Petri Exposure Meter attached)
This is my late father's only 'modern' camera. A solid Japanese rangefinder,
with a 2.8 45mm Orikkor lens by Kuribayashi. Dad was not an avid photographer,
however, he managed to record images on Box Brownies and Kodak folders,
from the late 1930s, through the Pacific campaign during WW2, and into the
1960s and 70s. Mainly, but not always, the images had a human element to them.
I placed the camera on an article about Henri Cartier-Bresson because, of all the
books and magazines I had, Dad always was most taken by the 'decisive moment'
work of HCB. Given that my Dad often took several months to shoot a roll of
film, he was not so decisive in the "shoot and get it processed" department. :-)
