Installation of a complete Graphtech Ghost system into a Parker Nitefly M
I decided to get a Parker Nitefly and install a MIDI system in it for my wife. The idea was to find a midi system that I could adapt to the existing Fishman transducers in the Parker. I chose Graphtech because their system seemed to be more modular and compact, and because I like to support Canadian companies when I have the choice.
I contacted Graphtech to see if they had anything off-the shelf that I could use to adapt the Fishman transducers. They didn't, but Morgan, in tech support was kind enough to assemble a basic set of wires I could use to adapt the systems to each other.
In the end, the sound quality in piezo is superior to that of the original Fishman pre-amp. The guitar sounds better in a coustic mode, with less "quack". In addition it now has mid/bright switching and a seperate tone control for the piezo system.
We can now play with any combination of magnetic pickups, Piezo pickups and Midi synth.
