At barely 4 inches, Tarsius spectrum is probably the smallest primate in the world. It occurs only in the northern tip of Sulawesi where Manado is located and in the southern part of the Phillippines. It is a nocturnal creature that becomes active and feeds at night. The local guides know a tree where a family of Tarsius spectrum of six lives. The light came from a small flash light that the guide used to light the opening inside the tree of an otherwise pitch dark place. Tarsius can turn its head 360 degrees. Yes, this is the natural setting Tarsius in the wild and not in captivity.
