Diving Brown Pelican

Bolsa Chica Wetlands, California

This was captured during a pelican feeding frenzy. Some 50 brown pelicans were dive bombing the water to catch fish. I followed this one pelican as it was about to enter the water in a single shot mode (don't ask me why, maybe I was experiencing who knows what) but at the end, I got lucky to capture a critical moment with the pelican's beek barely touched and parted the water. No cropping was done on the image; the framing was exactly like it was captured. Again, one can get lucky sometimes, I guess.
