Roadtrip 08/09/03 - 08/20/03

Here's part of the 2000+ pictures I took during my roadtrip in August 2003. Adding 3200miles to the odometer, my trip crossed about 10 states in ten days. Most of these are also the last pictures taken with my beloved Nikon 4300(with WC-E63 and TC-E2).

The roadtrip was originally only planned for visiting the Gettysburg 140th Anniversary Reenactments. Then I decided to extend it just a little. Here's the itinery as I still recall,
Fri, Aug 8: set off from East Lansing, Michigan
Sat, Aug 9: arrived at Gettysburg, Pennsylvania at around 10am, this is the second day of the reenactments.
Sun Aug 10: Harrisburg. Third day of the reenactments. Arrived at Lancaster at night.
Mon, Aug 11: In Lancaster County(Amish country). Arrived at Atlantic City at night.
Tue, Aug 12: Atlantic City. Philadelphia in the afternoon. Arrived at DC at night.
Wed, Aug 13: Washington DC -- Arlington National Cemetery
Thu, Aug 14: Washington Monument etc. Back in Gettysburg at midnight.
Fri, Aug 15: Tours in Gettysburg National Millitary Park, National Cemetery. Fredericksburg/Chancellorsville. Arrived at Richmond, Virginia at night.
Sat, Aug 16: Brief tour in Richmond. Stop at Appomattox. Arrived in Knoxville, Tennessee.
Sun, Aug 17: Great Smoky Mountain National Park and Gatlinburg.
Mon, Aug 18: Chattanooga and Chickamauga National Millitary Park. Rock City Gardens. Arrived in Atlanta at night.
Tue, Aug 19: Atlanta. Set out to go home at night.
Wed, Aug 20: Crossing Georgia, Tennesse, Kentucky, Ohio and back home in East Lansing, Michigan.
