Café Photography

I spend a lot of time in cafés writing, thinking, chatting and pickling myself with espresso.
I started taking photographs, discretely, usually with a digital rangefinder. It's an old tradition.
A record of a style of life that is both old and new and sometimes I see them both.
Sometimes I shoot events like poetry readings and music too.
They're usually taken at high ISO, often look better in black & white and are usually soft.
Sometimes I compensate for underexposure and softness with selective blur and grain.
And I like the style anyway.
