Subtle colors, plants forced to hide their flowers from birds and the weather, make Spring a green-blue affair in Joshua Tree National Park. Images in this gallery were taken in the backyard, and along the road and at the summit of Keys View, one of the highest points in the park. From Keys View visitors can see down into the Coachella Valley, including the Salton Sea (on a clear day). Views back toward Los Angeles through Banning Pass also are available, and down into Palm Springs and Palm Desert. Photos taken March-April 07.
