My photo trips for the norther gannet remind me my two trips to Svalbard for the polar bear. On the first trip I saw the bird in the North Sea (U.K.) but very far away. On the second trip, for which I stayed 7 days (3.6.16 - 10.6.16) in the remote village Perce', Bonaventure Island was accessible for two days only, because of bad sea conditions. On top of it, the light on my second day there was harsh. However, in the limited time I spent there, I enjoyed very much visiting this very beautiful spot. Also the locals in Perce' were extremely nice and welcoming!
My special thanks go to the photo mates Joshua and Vik, for giving me lifts and carrying my gear while it was pouring. My thanks go also to the photo mates Richard and Kathy for their kindness.
