The book by R. Peyrefitte goes into much detail about Jacques' life and time spent at Capri.
I have been researhing the Villa Jovis, which is right up the hill from Jacques' house.

Keen eye Anna. Those lumps are the real rock on which the house has been built. The architect left them bare inside the room. Very cool.
A pity I hadn't the time to choose another angle!
