...and they shall beat their swords into ploughshares and their spears into spades.

...and they shall beat their swords into ploughshares and their spears into spades.

Visiting Jerusalem, I came across a group of
soldiers who left their weapons behind, under the watch of two sentries,
and made a visit to the archeological site nearby.
Could it be that when they are back they will
have found that their rifles have turned into ploughshares ?
Am I too optimistic ? naive ?

Wow! This photo represents a lot of destructive power, and is very powerful.

Shmuel, If you are a dreamer so am I. My wish is the same as it is with so many others. Pray for Peace.

Ironic photo, given that King David was after all, a warrior.

Excellent shot. No pun intended there.

I enjoy this gallery very much.

The politicians need to see this Shmuel. I'm voting.

Indeed the reality of your world... excellent biblical quote and it would be a joyous day if that could ever come to pass.

*Very* powerful, hard-hitting photo, Scmuel. ... a combination of sad, scary, hopeful. This is one of the best photojournalistic shots I've seen in a very long time -- an award winner if there ever was one.

wow. i'm sorta at a loss for words. i'm surprised you were allowed to take the photo. security here in DC is so tight, I most likely wouldn't be allowed even that close to this.

Very impressive shot.
If not everyone is waiting until the contrahent starts to change the day may come.
I hope so, very much!

Good and impressive composition Shmuel.
