I'm afraid this is a Raven....you can tell by the "hair" on it's beak.
Ravens can and do mock other bird sounds, such as crows, Bluejays, and even hawks at times.

Either way you have a great photo here.

LOL, reminds me of the days when hubby and I lived on his grandpa's farm and we had the rooster under our window every morning, then for a few mornings there was a silence, and I had hoped something happened to him, he returned a few days later, with a hen, from down the road. Hey, it kept him quiet, LOL. :-)

A funny story...though I'm sure not so funny early in the morning. You could alway put a stuffed hawk in the tree ;)

Last week we had the neighbours peacock landing on our roof each morning at dawn, so I know how you feel. However you managed to stay calm enough to " shoot " it well. :>)
