Not only is this a great record of a human moment, it is a fabulous piece of craftsmanship. The two big figures watching and the main source of light balance the speaker, with the rapt audience in between, and all the little details as a kind of theatrical chorus. And I'll bet that was a 1/15 handhold.
Keep shooting while your hands are still steady.
You are part of a hard place and a hard history. Some advice, from the self-chosen epitaph of the great Irish poet Yeats, who alo lived in a hard land at a hard time: "Cast a cold eye/On life, on death./Horseman, pass by!"

With every photo something new is learned. Thankyou Shmuel. The children are spellbound.

So interesting Shmuel. My sister spent a year in Greece, doing exactly this. Glad I can get a real picture of it in my head.

This is an amazing photo. There is so much to see and to learn from it. The contrast between the modern clothes of those looking in and the ancient scene inside is a delight. I am so grateful to you for sharing this.
The color is beautiful. Good use of that D70.
