| Dudley firefighters and EMS responded to a reported single car MVA on Ramshorn Road near the Charlton town line just before 9 AM on March 3rd. What they found on arrival was a full sized pickup truck balancing on a single guy wire of an older style guard rail. Dudley jakes did a good job of stabilizing a the truck, using seldom used chain fall come-alongs and heavy duty cargo straps. The location of the truck made a tough extrication even tougher. The driver was suffering from serious but non-life threatening injuries. All personnel who were involved in the operation performed admirably, and the patient was extricated and transported after about 30 minutes. |
