| On January 23rd, Charlton firefighters and paramedics responded to a serious MVA at the 6W Service Area on the Massachusetts Turnpike. The reporting party stated that a car was underneath a flatbed trailer in the service plaza parking lot. Upon arrival, first responders found a Lexus 300 had run into the rear of a illegally parked flatbed tractor-trailer unit. The driver of the car was not pinned in the accident, but he did have to be removed from the vehicle by Charlton paramedics and fire personnel. New England Life Flight was summonsed to transport the severely injured driver to UMASS Hospital in Worcester, a level I trauma center. |
