The Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade is an annual event held in New York on the Thanksgiving day (of course! :-). It is a three hours event and started from 9am from Central Park area and finished at the Macy's Department Store on 34th Street. The route is mostly in Broadway St and Times Sq.

This event has been a long tradition in NYC since 1920's...big baloons that imitate famous characters such as, Scooby Doo, Snoopy, Mr. Potato, Shrek, Dora, etc. are the main feature of this parade...plus marching bands, cheerleaders, clowns and dancer...and also some Hollywood celebrites and famous people. Ashley Tisdale, Miss USA 2007, Good Charlotte, Dolly Parton, Jordin American Idol, are some of the celebrities participating at this event this year.

It was a worthy six hour standing, and for sure, plenty of fun moments to be captured (yes, even though started at 9am but in reality you have to be there early in the morning to secure a good spot!)...
