Welcome to My Pbase Gallery! Here you can see a collection of my pictures taken from various occasions and trips.

I am a photography hobbyist, currently living in Houston, TX. My favorite photo objects are landscape, nature, and street pics. I owned my first SLR digital camera in 2005 and since then I've devoted some of my time to learn photography and taking pictures. By the way, my first DSLR is Canon Rebel XT/350D and it has been severely (and successfully :-) abused in the past three years, but still survives 'till now :-). The XT is not alone now; it had a companion since last year, my awesome Nikon D80. Both cameras are truly great and dependable gears; so reliable and have been very loyal (never say no to me! :-)

In most of the time, I found photography is a gateway to my relaxation, contemplation, as well as my sincere appreciation to what God the Almighty has given to my life. Being so fortunate to have opportunity to see a breathtaking and majestic view, and being able to capture it through my camera are truly a remarkable gift and experience. Hence, taking picture to me is not just a matter of clicking the shutter button and recording the memory...it is not simply a 'been there done that' thing...but I always try to learn a new thing and find an inspiration from it. It is like a never ending learning process: I see a great moment or view - Compose it through view finder - Dial the exposure - Click the shutter...and Voila, I just learn a whole new experience!...sometimes it will help me to move forward and shape my days in the future or in some other time, it makes me to look back, to learn from the past...

Anyway, I hope you enjoy my gallery and I do appreciate for any input and critiques to my pictures.
