Elizabeth "Liz" Anna Jones was born on December 17, 1947 in New York to the late Dick and Anna Sheers Jones. She grew up in west Hialeah, Florida and attended Palm Springs Junior High and Hialeah High School, graduating in the Class of 1965.

Liz married Gerald "Jerry" Kettleman on October 3, 1975. Jerry also grew up in west Hialeah and attended both Palm Springs Junior High and Hialeah High. They moved to Tallapoosa, Georgia in the mid-80's and owned and operated the NAPA Auto Parts store in town.

Liz sadly passed away from stage IV breast cancer on February 10, 2005, in Tallapoosa. She was survived by her husband of 29 years, Jerry, her son and daughter-in-law John and Tabitha Owens of Tallapoosa, and three grandchildren, John David, Dillon, and Shane. Funeral services were held on February 12th at the Miller Funeral Home with the Revs. Hazel Glover and Barry Taylor officiating. She was buried in the Hollywood Cemetary in Tallapoosa. Goodbye Liz, we will never forget you!
