Update! After meeting with Tony, he confirmed that I can still use the Scheel factory original corduroy I have to recover the 911R seat, but there was not enough for the passenger. If you know where I can find the original material, please drop me a note at ajserrano@msn.com. Thanks!

Armando, I feel your pain. I recently pulled out the 2 yards I had stashed for 20 years, neatly wrapped around a cardboard tube and >phhhht!< powder. Someone MUST be producing this stuff.

...I'm so disappointed. This is what happens when you store certain items for over 30 years. The corduroy backing has simply disintegrated http://www.pbase.com/9146gt/image/137115126. Too bad, I was hoping to someday use this original material for a Scheel seat restoration. The piece of vinyl I have is not large enough either to cover one seat and I will have to now try and source both.
