Regarding the 1970 Porsche 914/6 GT, it is chassis #9140431995. The car is fully documented from 1982 forward. The documentation is included in the owners log book, which includes ownership, maintenance and mileage verification records. Additionally, a photographic record of the car being restored at Brumos Racing, at their facility in Jacksonville, Florida. The mileage is: 23,000+.

Brumos Porsche President, Bob Snodgrass located this 914/6 in California in 2000. The attraction to this car was the low mileage, how well the car had been maintained and all of the documentation that came with the car. The car was purchased for former CEO of MCI/WorldCom, Bert Roberts, whom raced with Brumos Racing. Prior to being delivered to Bert the car was completely stripped down and restored by Brumos Racing. The car that was presented to Bert Roberts was the Brumos 914/6 GT, built by Brumos Racing. The details of that build, as well as the re-construction of the car in 1993 and 1986 are outlined below.

In 1986 the car was nearly, completely re-done with more than $21,000. put into it. Virtually, everything that could be change on the car was! All toll 649 items were changed, all were new Porsche OEM parts. In 1993, the following was done to the car:

Brakes: New front and rear calipers, 19.05mm master cylinder, factory steel brake line and stainless steel lines. Wheels: Polished and re-painted. Interior: 1992 specification seating were added in glove soft black leather, as were the center console, rear panel and door panels. New dash facing and all interior fittings replaced. New glove box lining. Exterior: New rubber moldings, gaskets, seals and chrome trim. Front & rear bumpers re-plated, new bumper strips. New light housings and lenses, windshield, exterior mirrors, door check straps, hinges, strike plates and hood latches. Transmission: Syncros, bearings seals, gaskets, shift bushings, and selector sleeves replaced. Internal modifications were made to provide positive shifting. The housing was bead blasted and clear coated. Engine: A 1975 911S (Cal.) case was used to provide piston oil squirters and proper bore for the Mahle 90mm Nikisil pistons and cylinders. Head studs have Timesert installed. The top and bottom studs are coated Dilavar studs. 8mm case bolts with Timeserts were added. 2.7 heads with new 40mm ex. and 46mm in. valves. Phosphorus bronze valve guides were installed. The intake and exhaust ports are matching to the intake manifolds and exhaust. 2.0 liter stroke crank shaft and rods were used. Giving the displacement of 2.5 liters. A 1984 pressure feed system for the chain tensioners was added and it incorporated wide support idler arms. All internal parts were replaced, including bearings, seals, gaskets, chain rails, rod bolts and nuts, etc. The engine case and housings were bead blasted and clear coated. Electrical: New wiring loom installed, along with soldered end fittings and shrink wrap added. The looms were covered and color coded as per factory installation. Carburetion and Fuel System: The fuel tank was cleaned and sealed. New pick up screens and lines through the body were installed. All flex lines replaced with high pressure lines and new clamps. The 40MM IDTP carburetors were overhauled and detailed. New air cleaners installed. Exhaust: Heater control valves rebuilt and new flex hoses installed. A new factory muffler installed. General: All fasteners cleaned, bead blasted and electroplated to match factory specs, in zinc/yellow finish. All mechanical components either re-built or replaced
